Platinum Sponsors Contamac at the 46th Annual CLMA exhibition
The 46th Annual Contact Lens Manufacturers Association (CLMA) Exhibition was held at the Hyatt Regency, Tamaya Resort and Spa in Albuquerque / Santa Fe, New Mexico from the 8-10th November 2007. For the second year in a row the CLMA enjoyed a record registration and all exhibit booths were sold out.
For the first time in North America, Contamac demonstrated the Opteq Precision CNC lathe. Using the built in Calculens software, the Opteq lathe is capable of producing the most demanding lens geometries. The lathe generated a lot of new enquiries and interest, Ken Payne commented, “The industry is changing, our customers demand greater scope in lens designs and enhanced surface quality. The Opteq lathe delivers both these aspects, so I am delighted we have successfully offered the speciality laboratories in North America this opportunity”
The congress proved to be a huge success for Contamac, who designed the stand on the Route 66 theme offering delegates an opportunity to win a Wii Nintendo game. Contamac’s exhibit stand was packed throughout the tradeshow. The focus of the exhibition was for Contamac to promote the established, FDA approved Optimum range of GP materials, which provides industry leading stability and high levels of comfort across the Dk range from 26-125. Rob McGregor commented “The CLMA was extremely successful for us, the booth was continually busy and the extended exhibiting time provided by the CLMA gave us the opportunity to spend quality time with our customers. On behalf of all at Contamac we thank the CLMA for planning such a well organised congress, held at a high class venue”.
Contamac took the opportunity to thank customers for their support by presenting them with a beautifully engraved wine glass and finally our congratulations go to Brian Martinez from Acculens who was the winner of the Wii game. All at Contamac look forward to next year’s event in Alabama.
