Hydrophilic or hydrogel materials produced by Contamac offering a water content between 38% and 75%. GM Advance is provided in 49% and 58% water contents, both featuring lower modulus figures and therefore offering greater flexibility when machined to a finished soft contact lens. GM Advance resists dehydration longer and rehydrates faster than many other products that are currently available. Other well known products include 55% Methafilcon, which is also FDA approved.
